PRIVACY POLICY

(Last thing we want to do is bore you with legal stuff. But we have to have this page, so here it is — straight up.)
Effective: May 14, 2026

WHAT WE COLLECT & WHY

Email address. You gave it to us. Probably through that little signup box in our footer. We use it to send you new music, updates, and occasional “hey listen to this” emails. That’s it. No spam. No selling your info.

Inquiry details. If you email us about licensing, features, or just to say what’s up — we keep that conversation so we don’t lose track of you.

Website stuff. IP addresses, what pages you visit, basic analytics. Helps us know what people actually care about on the site. Nothing creepy.

DISCO.ac. If you’re a music supervisor or sync person, we might send you a DISCO link. That platform has its own privacy rules. Ours stop at the link.

WHAT WE DON’T DO

  • Sell your data. Ever.
  • Share it with random third parties.
  • Use it to train AI.
  • Blow up your inbox daily. We’ll email when there’s something real to say.

WHO SEES YOUR INFO

WhoWhy
Our email platform (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.)To actually send the emails you signed up for
DISCO.acTo get music to supervisors (if you’re one of them)
The lawIf a judge tells us to (hasn’t happened yet)

That’s the list.

WHAT WE DON’T DO

  • Unsubscribe – Click the link at the bottom of any email. Poof. You’re out.
  • Ask what data we have on you – Email legal@blxrdmusic.com. We’ll tell you.
  • Delete your info – Same email. We’ll handle it.

We respond within 30 days. Usually faster.

COOKIES?

Yeah, the website uses them. Tiny files that remember basic stuff like your preferences. You can turn them off in your browser. Some things might look weird if you do.

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR STUFF

  • Emails: until you unsubscribe.
  • Licensing conversations: 3 years (so we can prove we gave you permission to use that beat).

KIDS UNDER 13?

This site isn’t explicitly for you. If you’re a parent and think your kid signed up, hit us up and we’ll delete it.

OUTSIDE THE US?

We’re based in the US. If you’re in Europe or the UK, just know your info lives on our servers here in the States. By using the site, you’re cool with that and consent.

WE MIGHT UPDATE THIS

If we make big changes, we’ll email you (if you’re subscribed) or put a note on the site. Minor tweaks? Just check the date at the top.

IF YOU SEE THIS IN CALIFORNIA (CPRA RIGHTS)

California law gives residents a few extra rights. Here’s what you get:

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal info we’ve collected about you in the past 12 months
  • Ask us to delete your info
  • Opt out of any “sale” of your data (we don’t sell it, so you’re already opted out)
  • Correct inaccurate info we have about you
  • Limit how we use sensitive personal info (like your precise location — we don’t collect that anyway)
  • Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights

What we collect that counts as “personal information” under California law:

  • Your email address
  • Your IP address
  • Any info you put in an email to us

How to make a California privacy request:
Email legal@blxrdmusic.com with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line. We’ll respond within 45 days (that’s the law, but we’ll probably be faster).

We don’t sell your data. Period. So there’s no “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link to click. But if you want to be extra sure, just email us and we’ll confirm.

HIT US UP

*A NOTE ON THE CPRA (CALIFRONIA PRIVACY RIGHTS ACT)

You might see this law called “CCPA” or “CPRA.” Same thing, basically — the CPRA amended the original CCPA and took full effect January 1, 2023 . It gives California residents rights over their personal data, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of data sales .

Even though we’re a small label, we comply because:

  • It’s the right thing to do
  • Anyone visiting our site from California has these rights, regardless of where we’re located
  • The law applies to businesses that collect data from California residents — no physical office required

If you want the full legal text, it’s in California Civil Code sections 1798.100–1798.199. But our version above is what actually matters for you.
